DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN TALLINN

Welcome to Tallinn! Upon arrival, enjoy an optional private transfer from the airport to your hotel. Check in and take the rest of the day at leisure to settle in and start exploring the charming surroundings at your own pace.

Overnight: Tallinn

DAY 2: EXPLORE TALLINN

Dedicate the day to exploring Tallinn, the capital of Estonia—a captivating blend of medieval charm, contemporary design, and seaside tranquility. Start with the UNESCO-listed Old Town, one of the best-preserved Hanseatic town centers in Europe. Stroll the cobblestone streets and discover Gothic churches, noble merchants’ houses, medieval fortification walls, red-tiled rooftops, and cozy cafés tucked into secret courtyards.

Key sights include:

  • Toompea Castle

  • Tallinn Town Hall

  • St. Mary’s Cathedral

  • St. Catherine’s Passage

  • The Great Guild Hall

  • Masters’ Courtyard

  • Patkuli and Kohtuotsa Viewing Platforms

To experience the city’s modern and creative pulse, explore the following neighborhoods:

  • Telliskivi Creative City – a hub for alternative culture, arts, design boutiques, and cafés.

DAY 3: TALLINN – LAHEMAA NATIONAL PARK

Begin your nature adventure with a visit to Lahemaa National Park, Estonia’s oldest and largest national park, offering a rich variety of landscapes—from wetlands and forests to charming coastal villages and sandy beaches.

Highlights include:

  • Hiking the Viru Bog Study Trail or Kasmu Peninsula Trail

  • Exploring historic fishing villages like Kasmu and Altja

  • Visiting modern harbors such as Vergi and Vosu

DAY 4: LAHEMAA – RAKVERE – LAKE PEIPUS AREA

Depart Lahemaa and drive to Rakvere, a town known for its medieval castle dating back to the 13th century. The castle operates as an immersive theme park where visitors can:

  • Explore the torture chamber, healer’s room, and brothel

  • Learn about local history

  • Enjoy a medieval-style meal at the on-site tavern

Next, follow a path to see the Statue of the Aurochs, a powerful symbol of Rakvere’s heritage.

Continue toward the Lake Peipus area, the largest transboundary lake in Europe, shared with Russia. This culturally rich region reflects a unique blend of Estonian peasants, Russian Old Believers, and Baltic German aristocracy.

DAY 5: LAKE PEIPUS AREA – TARTU

  • Town Hall Square with the famous Kissing Students Fountain

  • Main building of Tartu University

  • St. John’s Church

  • The ruins of Tartu Cathedral

Enjoy a walk along the scenic Emajõgi River Promenade, lined with lively cafés and restaurants.

For a creative twist, explore Aparaaditehas Creative City, a repurposed factory complex filled with:

  • Designer shops

  • Art galleries

  • Pop-up events

  • Bars and cafés

  • TYPA – a print and paper art center

Top off the day at the Estonian National Museum—a state-of-the-art space with interactive exhibitions on Estonian and Finno-Ugric culture, built atop a former Soviet-era runway.

DAY 6: TARTU – VILJANDI – SOOMAA NATIONAL PARK – PARNU

Start your day with a visit to Viljandi, a charming town renowned for its folk music festival and lake views. Don’t miss:

  • The Viljandi Castle Ruins

  • A scenic walk around Lake Viljandi

  • The Kondas Centre of Naive Art, showcasing quirky and colorful Estonian art

Continue to Soomaa National Park, known for its "fifth season" (spring floods), when canoeing through flooded forests becomes possible. Year-round, it's a haven for hikers—especially the Riisa Hiking Trail, which meanders through enchanting bog landscapes.

In the afternoon, head to Parnu, Estonia’s beloved seaside resort. Enjoy the town’s:

  • Historic villas and beach promenade

  • Compact Old Town centered around Rüütli Street

DAY 7: PARNU – HAAPSALU – RUMMU – TALLINN
