Experience the very best of Croatia on this immersive 8-day journey from the capital city of Zagreb to the historic coastal gem of Dubrovnik.

Welcome to Zagreb, the vibrant capital and largest city of Croatia. Upon arrival at Zagreb Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a guided stroll through the charming city center, where you’ll get your first taste of Zagreb’s unique blend of Central European culture and Mediterranean flair.

After breakfast, we journey to the picturesque region of Hrvatsko Zagorje, known for its lush green hills and warm hospitality. Our first stop is the acclaimed Krapina Neanderthal Museum, one of the most modern and engaging museums in Europe, where you’ll discover the fascinating story of the Krapina Neanderthals. We then step back into the medieval era with a visit to Trakoscan Castle, widely regarded as the most beautiful castle in Croatia. A traditional lunch featuring regional specialties will be served in a local Zagorje tavern before returning to Zagreb.

This morning, we depart for the Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia’s most famous natural attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. En route, we stop in Rastoke, a charming village often referred to as “Little Plitvice,” known for its watermills and cascading waterfalls. At Plitvice, enjoy a guided walk through a wonderland of 16 crystal-clear lakes connected by waterfalls and lush forest paths. In the late afternoon, we continue to Zadar, a historic city on the Adriatic coast, for our overnight stay.

After a morning tour of Zadar, including its Roman and Venetian ruins, we journey south along the coast. Our first stop is Sibenik, where we visit the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St. James, a Renaissance masterpiece adorned with 72 sculpted stone heads. Next, we explore Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its Romanesque and Gothic architecture. In the evening, we arrive in Split, Croatia’s second-largest city.

Following breakfast, embark on a walking tour of Split, often referred to by locals as “the most beautiful city in the world.” At the heart of the city lies the Diocletian's Palace, a stunning Roman imperial complex over 1,700 years old and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore the vibrant Riva waterfront, relax in local cafés, or shop at the bustling markets.

Today, we travel south toward Dubrovnik, stopping en route in the historic town of Ston, known for its remarkable 14th-century defensive walls and oyster farms. Enjoy a tasting of the region’s famous oysters, freshly harvested from the Bay of Mali Ston. We then continue to Dubrovnik, the iconic “Pearl of the Adriatic,” where we check in and relax for the evening.

Devote the day to exploring the stunning walled city of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site praised by George Bernard Shaw as “paradise on Earth.” Walk along the impressive city walls, enjoy panoramic views of the Elafiti Islands, and visit landmarks such as the Onofrio Fountain, Stradun, and the City Bell Tower. A traditional lunch will be served at a local tavern. The afternoon is free for further discovery, relaxation, or shopping.

After breakfast and hotel check-out, your guide will accompany you to Dubrovnik Airport for your departure. As your Croatian journey comes to an end, we thank you for traveling with us and hope you leave with unforgettable memories and a longing to return.
Safe travels!
